Life gets richer when you become a better steward of the stuff you already have- Alex Mathers
The end of the year brings the option for getting new stuff!

For some educators, it’s fun! Go through the catalogs- find that material that will help your lessons next year. For other educators, it’s piecing together some nickels and dimes to get what you need, not what you want necessarily.
While we all love new stuff, consider this important reality: what do you have already?
What could you keep in good shape and use again?
What is a tried and true material that doesn’t need to be upgraded?
I’m fortunate enough to work in a place with a budget that passes every year. If I need something for a student, I get it.
I know a lot of other people are not so fortunate.
What I find more pleasure in is rediscovering something- you see, different school years bring different students. Some things work no matter what, and some things work in certain situations and need to be brought back when situations change again.

Take some time in the last few weeks or days to really look at what you have- what can you keep? What can you take care of and make perennial? What can you steward do that you do more with less?
